Monday night in Tamworth was spent refining our competitive format – the T4 Premier. It’s a solid forward step for the top grade athletes, the clubs and the league as a whole.
And it’s come a long long way. What started out with individual players in isolation coming out on-by-one has evolved so much already.
A range of the top players from all clubs participated in the name of sport development. We’ve been running a team-based format for quite some time now, but this was a solid step to take our sport to a new level.
It’s no surprise to many that we’re all about community. All players regardless of category or division are affiliated with clubs. Participation is at an all-time high and continues to grow. The format of the T4E is functioning nicely with rewards directed to consistency and growth. However, a high-level pathway is required to showcase what’s possible in our sport and motivate the competitively inclined.
Another comp format testing session will run at the start of round 6 (Monday evening 6pm) involving mixed players from each of the clubs.
This will be the first step towards a regular A grade competition that becomes the showpiece for our sport.
It’ll be here soon enough.
