- T4 Everyday (T4E) is our inclusive, team-based sport format. T4E sets a new standard for social competition whilst also allowing players to track personal data metrics simultaneously. Everything is tech-based and live in real time.
THE BASICS
- T4E operates as a league (ie. multiple rounds to make up a season)
- Players are in teams
- Players need to complete four (4) scores each round
- Each round runs for 60 mins
- Team score has a unique handicap system applied
- Players track their own personal data
- Team on top of ladder at end of season takes home the chocolates
- Personalised player data is linked to the T4BL representative sport pathways.
SEASONS
T4E runs four seasons per year – Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring. Each season typically includes 8-9 weekly rounds, aligned with school terms.
DIVISIONS
Primary, High School, and Opens.
ROUNDS
Each week equates to one 60 min round.
TEAMS / PLAYERS
Youth teams 3–7 players; Opens teams 5–12 players
Players may join what’s called a POOL if they don’t have or want to join a team. This is effectively a ‘group’ of players in a mixed team. Players can transition into teams from there or simply stay in the POOL if they just want to track their own data metrics.
TEAM SCORES / HANDICAP SYSTEM
T4E uses a unique handicap system that rewards the areas that matter most.
Friends are encouraged to join a team together as every player can have a meaningful contribution regardless of capacity.
PLAYER SCORES
- Players must complete at least four boulders within the nominated 60 mins.
- The more difficult the boulder the higher the points.
- A player’s round score is the combined sum of their highest four boulder scores.
PLAYER REQUIREMENTS
- Players are encouraged to focus on simply doing their personal best each round.
- Scores must be recorded within 5 mins of completing the boulder score.
PLAYER’S FIRST ROUND
The first round establishes a benchmark for new players. Players returning from a previous season have a calibrated target.
PLAYER DATA / STATISTICS
Players track personal data week to week and across seasons. Data includes style analysis, growth analysis and trend, boulder log and a genuine standardised personal player grade referred to as the T4 GPA.
COMPETITIVE PATHWAYS
Representative leagues and events exclusively use the T4 Premier format. Players who are competitively inclined have the opportunity to represent as a team for their local community in a format that truly showcases what T4 Bouldering is all about.
How do I register?
In-house or online at your local club or gym.
I understand this is a team sport but what if I don’t want to join a team?
That’s ok. You’ll be placed in what’s called a ‘POOL’ and you can score and track your metrics from here. However, only players in teams are eligible for T4BL representative pathways.
Can I join during the season or does it have to be from the start?
Players can join at any time during the season.
Do I personally have to score every round?
No. However, Youth teams need at least 3 players to score each round, and Opens need 5 in order for your team to be competitive.
When do rounds start/finish?
Rounds start each week on Monday morning and close each week on Friday. See local club for specific details as they may differ. Youth have set scoring sessions and Opens can score anytime during the week.
Can I score more than once per week?
No. Players can score only once per round.
What does the winning team receive?
Whilst we’re not playing for sheep stations, you’ll receive your moment in time – a place in history! Your name is engraved on the trophy and additional prizes are location specific.
Why would I do this?
- Provides purpose – a focal point beyond each moment
- Enjoyable without the typical pressures of ‘regular’ competition
- Flexibility with gentle accountability
- Track genuine personal data in real time.
- Helps connect you to your wider community
- Pathway opportunity to represent your community
